Does Promotional offer for an item works for ISO

If there is Promotional offer for an item as buy 5 item and get 1 another item free,
it is working fine for customer order but not working for internal sales orders.

In the Internal requisition, only the requisition (sale) item will be entered. When the requisition is coverted into ISO, it is expected that promotion item should default in the sales order and both items should be shipped.

But R12.1.3, i am not able to reproduce this scenario.Any insight/inputs is highly appreciated?

Does the internal sales order support defaulting of promotion type item?
