Can we change the asset life in twice and if possible what is the steps

eg.

First prospective change ( 10 to 15 years) 1st jan'2009 prospective change means: balance WDV ( as on 31st dec'08)  will depreciate in balance life ( 15 years- expired life as on 31st dec'08)) Second prospective change from 1st April 2011 ( 15 to 20 years) prospective change means: balance WDV  (as per first life change ) as on 31st march'11 will depreciate in balance life ( 20 years- expired life as on 31st march'11)
