Billing cycle days

Can the billing cycle days that are set on an award and project be changed after some invoices are already generated. E.g - We hava some projects wtih 30 day billing cycle with some invoices already generated - however there is a problem with feb invoice generation as there are only 29 days and the award does not get picked up for billing in range of awards - can the billing cycle on these already existing ones be changed to say 20 days or 1 day.
