PAY: Payroll periods wrong start / end date

My customer has (by accident) entered a number of 60 years for creating pauroll periods fa a bi-weekly payroll.
Now the start and end date are no longer correct compared to the real dates.

By standard it is not possible to change the dates for payroll periods. Creating a new payroll requires a lot additonal steps (element links, adding to TCS and CWB).

Any advice on the easiest but still correct option for solving this?
