Hello,

I have already posted a comment to the Technical HEUG Forum concerning this matter, but I thought I would also do the same here to be complete.

We are getting ready to upgrade to 8.52 early next year.  One new 8.52 feature of interest to us is the ability to use the PS_APP_HOME environment variable to seperate application related files such as COBOL, SQR, Crystal, etc from similar PeopleTools objects, allowing the Tools objects to be shared across application installs.

It is great to be nearing a release of the PeopleTools where the application is technically seperate from the PeopleTools, but at this time, there is still a question as to whether this functionality will come to CS because of the Continious Delivery Model.  The new functionality currently has an 9.1 FP2 application requirement, but looks like this may have been a mistake that did not account for CS given the following text from 1386733.1:

Howdy, Stranger!
