Download email attachment automatically to our desktop through a shell script - help me

Hi DBAs,

We got one requirement to automate one task.

Task:

Everyday 9 pm, we will get one email attachment and we need to download it to our desktops and uploaded to database.

We have already automated uploading this file, but only thing is to we need to download it by 9:30 pm to a specific location then our cron script picks this file and uploads.

Can any body help us on, without downloading to a desktops, Can we directly picks the file(from email) through a script and uploaded to a database?

Please provide all of your suggestions to me.
