Impairment for Non Depreciating Assets

 Hello

We have an Asset which has the Depreciate Flag Unchecked. Thus in other words we are not depreciating the Asset. However when we try to Post Impairment to the Asset the Process Impairments ends with Warning and gives a message : 

" Impairment cannot be charged for asset 16840 as the NBV after considering current month depreciation is either zero or less than impairment loss.
Module FAPIMP ended with warning "



However as soon as I enable the Depreciate Flag the Impairment works fine . Am I missing something here ?
