Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Optimum Database Layout

Hi,

Assuming that we have 4 RAID-1 volumes with a single RAID controller, what would be the best possible datafiles layout from performance perspective

Here is what we are thinking of

VOL-1 --> Operating System and Oracle Binaries

VOL-2 --> DATA

VOL-3 --> INDEX, REDO LOGS and UNDO

VOL-4 --> Archive Logs ,RMAN backup and TEMP
