Event.log takes the large space in $APPLLOG location

Dear All,

In $APPLCSF/$APPLLOG location the Event*.log file takes the 1GB space and after bounce the services the event.log not starting with the new file but it continue with the old file so it takes the more space recently we cloned from that time only it happen...

please give me solution for this how to remove this file or close while stopped the services ................

and backedup this file but it writes in this file only.....
