De-Activate Asset Numbers in EAM

Hi,
We are trying to De-Activate a couple of Assets but the option from the Tools menu is grayed out, so we can't proceed.
This option is working in 3 Test Instances but not in PROD, we even have a clone of PROD (the clone was completed yesterday) and it's working there.
Any thoughts why is this not working? We haven't applied any patches to the instances, they're all in the same patching level.

Please let me know if you guys have had experienced the same issue.
