eth0 check failed while starting VIP

Hi,

I have configured 2 node 10.2.0.1 RAC in OEL version 5.6.  Now a strange behaviour of VIP can be seen while starting one of the Node or already running node. The database and ASM instances are seen to be down by that time and I couldn't find any VIP for that node. I checked the log in "/crs/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/crs_1/log/rac1/racg" and found the below messages:

2011-12-22 08:56:16.887: [    RACG][3067913920] [25336][3067913920][ora.rac1.vip]: Interface eth0 checked failed (host=RAC1.tmcprd.com)
Invalid parameters, or failed to bring up VIP (host=RAC1.tmcprd.com)

2011-12-22 08:56:16.887: [    RACG][3067913920] [25336][3067913920][ora.rac1.vip]: clsrcexecut: env ORACLE_CONFIG_HOME=/crs/app/oracle/product/10.2.0/crs_1
