Serial Number Validation in SR
Our company is using EBS 11.5.10 TeleService without customizations and we have had issues with entry of serial numbers in Service Requests because they either do not exist in Install Base or exist for other customer organizations. There are so many of these examples that we have developed a workaround using the Problem Summary field. This has become problematic and I would like to be able to go back to using the Serial number field. I am thinking of turning off the validation by Install Base and am wondering if anyone else has done this. If so, what is the impact on
