ORA-01578: ORACLE data block corrupted (file # 6, block # 1856) ORA-01110:

One of my aplications is getting this error message ORA-01578: ORACLE data block corrupted (file # 6, block # 1856) ORA-01110:.  I have tried to recover the corrupt data block using RMAN to no avail.  Please help as I am new to Oracle.
