KRB5KDC_ERR_PREAUTH_FAILED

After attempting to install the latest patchset on Solaris 10 (U6) I ran into problems with kernel patches.  I decided to abandon the patchset session and revert back to my original disk that I has set safely aside.

When the good disk came up I received the following errors:

Unable to establish cred for id using keytab

VAS_ERR_KRB5 Failed to obtain credentials

KRB5KDC_ERR_PREAUTH_FAILED (-1765328360) Preauthorization failed.

Failed to change the host password /etc/opt/quest/vas/host.keytab. Client.

Could not fork ident IPC handler, err=0

I am certain that this disk should have no issues, but it appears VAS cannot authenticate with Active Directory.

Howdy, Stranger!
