how to keep compatible 10.2.0.4 when upgrade database from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.2

Hi All,

We are doing our database upgrade from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.2. In case any thing happen, we want to downgrade back to 10.2.0.4. From Oracle document, after we change the parameter 'compatible' to 11.2.0.2, we can't go back to 10.2.0.4 any more. So my question is: how to keep parameter 'compatible' as 10.2.0.4 during our upgrade(I can change it later after I finish upgrade)?
