Replacing nodes in an 11gR1 RAC Cluster

We have servers (2) that are coming off of lease and would like to add 2 new nodes to the cluster, then remove the old nodes from the cluster.  The question is, we have a higher version of the OS on the new clusters.  The cluvfy utility is already complaining about mismatched packages.  Has anyone performed this type of activity with mixed OS versions (OEL 5.1 and Oracle Linux Server release 5.7) ?
