ASM extenal redundancy add, delete, resize disks....
Dear friends,
my configuration is like this:
- 11.2.0.3 streched RAC Cluster, 2 nodes
- SAN is an DataCenter SAN
- 2 diskgroups , one for data, one for FRA both EXTERNAL REDUNDANCY
- every diskgroup contains only one LUN (disk)(this LUN ist made HA by the SAN
here my questions:
- if my data DG runs out of space could i resize the underlying LUN in the SAN and ASM recognise this? is this possible...?
- if my data DG runs out of space could i add a LUN (disk) to the DG which was for example double sized as the first LUN and then delete the first LUN after the rebalancing? or ist this only possible with normal/high redundancy?
