iStore Search Question

Hello,Is there a min character limit while searching for items/products in iStore?

Search works fine if 5 characters are entered in the search field. If it's less than 5 chars it comes back with "No items were found matching your search criteria."

I looked for any profile options but could not find any. Is this standard iStore Search? if so how can I get away with 5 char min limit? Is customization the only option?
