Calendar in the format 5-4-4

Lets say that the calendar for January/2012 is set in the format 5-4-4. 
That is , our report period for january goes from 01/01/12 until 02/05/12.
 As we need to close the month on 01/31/12 for fiscal reasons, the question is : can we account the PAC on 01/31 even with the Oracle Calendar set to be closed on 02/05/12? This considering we will close the INV, AP, AR and PO. Once these modules are closed can we account the PAC?
