Issue when I create Extended Attributes for an Item Instance through API in Install Base

Hello

I am having below two issues and please clarify me what was the issue and how to correct it.

1. I have an custom interface program in which I am opening the cursor and creating or updateing the extended attribute for an item instance. Suppose I have 2 records in my custom table for creating/updating the extended attributes to the existing item instances. I am opening the cursor and processing each record. Allwasy my first record will process and all subsequent records are failing with the error message as 'Install Base doesn't allow updatation of Instance ID." I observed that If i process each record saparetly then it is working fine but if i process more than one record
