Can a database be cloned using OEM to create a physical standby

And then break away the stand by ?  Is there a clean way to do this ?

Of course RMAN cloning is method is always there.  But I wanted to know if physical standby can be opened and broken away from dataguard congiguration and used as an independent production copy database ..
