Ownership %age

I have a question about onwership percentage setup in HFM 11.1.2.  We are in the process of closing December, and have several elimination accounts with an ownership percantage of 0.  When I look at my 2012 periods, that 0% is not reflected for the elimination accounts - all %s are set to the default value of 100.  My question is - will my HFM admin need to manually set up 2012 or is there a way to flag the entity so that the ownership percents are carried forward automatically?  I understand there is a RecurringBalance flag but didn't know if setting that would accomplish my objective?
