GL Calender for DEC-2011 had been defined incorrectly

We are in the version of 11.5.8.User had defined the calender for GL for the month of December 2011 had been defined incorrectly.Actually DEC-2011 should have 31 days but the user had defined only for 21days.At the time of opening the GL period for DEC-2011,user didn't check the no.of days for the month as well. So they managed to enter data until 21st DEC 2011 and after the 21st DEC 2011 non of the users could enter any data. Kindly help to rectify this issue.Any related notes given in the Metalink please share.
