INVALID NUMBER ERROR ( ORA-01722) Coming in Oneinstance But NOT in Other Instance

Hi

We are facing a weird situation in which the table which is having a column as VARCHAR2 is giving results when compared to a numeric value in DEV/TEST instance. But the same query is showing an ORA - 01722 Invalid Number error in PROD instance.

Please suggest a probable cause for this !
