Cannot Install OEM Grid Control base 10.2.0.3 on Redhat 5.7 for Ultimate Patch to 10.2.0.5

In an attempt to get the 10g OEM Grid Control base installation (10.2.0.3) installed, then patch to 10.2.0.4 or maybe 10.2.0.5, I am running into the OS (Redhat 5.7) not being supported for 10.2.0.3.  I have attempted several methods, including running a silent install to install components without configuring, but nothing works.  If Redhat 5.7 is supported for 10.2.0.5, but not for 10.2.0.3, and 10.2.0.3 must be installed before patching, how am I supposed to accomplish this?
Any experiences that anyone can share would be appreciated.
