Creating New Application Policies and Roles

Hi,
I posted this question on the OBIEE discussion board, but I'm not sure if it's the OBIEE side or BIP side where the issue resides.  If you have any input I appreciate it!

We've recently integrated Active Directory security within OBIEE and we are now trying to secure our reports by creating new application roles and policies.

In AD, we basically have 4 groups for users to belong to: BIAdministrator, BIAuthor, BIConsumer, and BISalesCons

Most people will belong only to BIConsumer.  Initial tests to access/run reports with BIConsumer were successful.

We would like to restrict access to a directory and its contents to only users with the AD group BISalesCons.  The group is visible within Fusion Middleware Control, and I created a new Application Role BI Sales Consumer and added the AD group BISalesCon to the role.  I want to make sure that this role has the same privileges as BIConsumer, so I created an application policy by using the Create Like feature and using BIConsumer.  I then assigned the AD group BISalesCon and the Application role BISALESCON to the new application policy (both are assigned now because one didn't

Howdy, Stranger!
