Grants Accounting Integration with Labor Distribution

Does anyone have a write up or white paper addressing in detail how the grants accounting and labor distribution applications work.  If there is any information as to how OTL is setup to capture hours so that labor distribution can perform the breakdown of costs to interface to grants accounting that would be great.
