Free goods does not function while having Gross profit margin preferences enabled

I have 2 free goods setup in F4073 for an item. I also have preferences to check gross profit margin with threshold limits setup.

When I disable the Gross profit margin check [3rd option in profit margin tab of P4210 processing option] the 2 free goods gets populated in F4211 after I save my order.

When the Gross profit margin is enabled it only brings the first item from f4073 and not the second item. Wish to know if you have encountered this issue.
