Oracle 9i Solaris 9 to oracle 11g x86 server running Red Hat EL 5.6 Physical

Hi,
I need your suggestion.

We  have a  producation database.Version 9208 which resides on a solaris 9.

We have created a new database 11g in a new server x86 server running Red Hat EL 5.6 Physical

Now we want the data in the source to be migrated to destination server with very less outage.

The database size would be close to 12 TB.

We are planning to take a snap shot backup and ship the files to the destination server.
The destination server has 11G installed and database created.

Could you suggest of we will have any issues if we ship all the data files and other DB files to destination which is in different platform to source?.
