Can you use Self Update to deploy newly available target management plugins?

Pretty self explanatory.

Right now you can apply a patch to deploy the newly designed plugins into your OMS. However, is there a way you can configure

Self Update to download those new plugins directly?

Seems like it would make the process much easier when new plugins are available.
