AR - Credit memo in open status for a closed period

 
   Hello All,

  I have a fairly confusing scenario in our 11.5.10.2 version of Oracle EBS. There is a credit memo in an open state and the balance is in a positive amount for the period of July 2010 and July 2010 is a closed period. I have looked into account details for that customer and here is the activity.


Here is the summary of the issue..

Credit memo for an amount of $370.00 was applied to a standard invoice on 07/20/2010
At this point Balance Due was 0

Then..

A Debit memo  got applied to this credit memo on 07/22/2010
for amount --> 370.00
Another Debit memo, got applied on 08/24/2010 for amount --> 370.00
