Installing ORACLE software (aother oracle lome) on a live server containing an existing databas

Hi All,

I would like to install another ORACLE_HOME on a server that has an existing database running. This ORACLE_HOME is created in preparation for a database to be cloned

on the above server to act as a failover database.....

Would that cause any adverse effects on the existing installation?
