Depreciation adjustment

Hi everyone,

We have been asked to change the life of an asset from 6 years to 3 years and to only have the depreciation change from the period that we implement the change.  Is there anyway to adjust the life of an asset and not have Oracle go back and do a catch up adjustment on the depreciation?

Any help would be appreciated.
