Question is from a customer. They have suffered from long resilver times in the past.

In 2011.1 one of the performance enhancements is:

 

-       Significant fairness improvements during ZFS resilver operations

What is the expected performance of resilvering a failed disk with the new performance enhancement

With 3TB disk ( of course full of data ;-) ) this will become more important.

 

What is changed and how is resilvering done based on 2011.1?

 

On the past there was a workflow to change the resilver priority. I lost track on the status of the WF, can this still be used?
