Contact Name not coming on Invoice

 While importing an invoice for a customer, customer Bill to name, address, number are coming but contact name is not coming even when it is defined, as soon as i click on LOV the contact name appears and then user is prompted to save the changes before exiting the form , but we need contact to come automatically on imported invoice. Please advise
