Query takes longer when not running as SYS
Hi,
Had a strange experince today.
Users complain about a report query taking to long. Around 25 minutes instead of 2. I gather new statistics on the objects and invalidates the cursors. Query still slow (and same plan, which is not a poor one).
I flush the shared pool, query runs in 2 minutes.
I let on of the developers run the query as the user that uses the system, the query takes forever again. I have run the query a couple of times as SYS and it finishes in two minutes every time.
How can the query "work" when I run it as SYS but not as the app user?
