Dear Community,

First of all apologies if I've got the wrong community for this question. If I have, can someone please point me to a better place to get this info.

We're about to buy a new server for our online Standard Edition database.

The licensing doc (http://www.oracle.com/us/corporate/pricing/databaselicensing-070584.pdf) says

‘When licensing Oracle programs with Standard Edition One or Standard Edition in the product name, a processor is counted equivalent to a socket; however, in the case of multi-chip modules, each chip in the multi-chip module is counted as one occupied socket.’

I'm unclear what a multichip moudule means

Howdy, Stranger!
