New items to cycle count

If we open the cycle count and then click on 'Items' button, the list is from ABC group asociated with the cycle count. The list of items under ABC group comes from ABC compile. And ABC compile can not be run unless the existing ABC compile is purged or a new compile is build.

The question : How can we have the newly created inventory items added to the cycle count (under 'Items' button) without having to go thro' the procedure of purging(rebuilding)/building new compile, then associating it with the ABC group and then (re)initialize the cycle count?
