One HBA can't see the SAN
We have a newly built T3-1 with 2 QLE2650 HBAs. Running Solaris 10 and patches are current.
Both HBAs show as online and from our SAN switch they both show as connected, but from the OS side one shows as unconfigured and it can't see the fabric. If I try configuring it I don't get any error messages, but it doesn't configure. As an added bonus, both powerpath and mpxio say that there are no devices attached, although we have 6 luns connected and I can see them in /dev/dsk and with format.
So these are not Sun branded HBAs, but they should work on a Sun server running Solaris? I've seen other dicussions out on the web with this issue, with different types of HBAs and SAN (we are connecting to a VNX 5300) - where one HBA is fine and the other will not configure. Exactly the same problem. Oracle support will not help us because these are not Sun branded HBAs, but it seems to me that this is an OS issue, not an HBA issue, especially since it has happened with other hardware. Does anyone have any thoughts on
