Multple Scrap Reason Codes
I am looking to see if anyone has developed a solution for a situation I have.
During our manufacturing process, we encounter scrap of a parent item, however there may be several reasons for this scrap. As an example, we may have 4 pieces of scrap, one scrapped for wrinkles, another for contamination, and the remainder for cracks. In order to get all three reason codes recorded into JDE, we are doing three seperate transactions so that we can get all three transactions into the cardex and can then run scrap reason code reports.
Has anyone developed a method of entering in multiple scrap reason codes at a single transaction? I was thinking about creating an inventory transaction, but that would mean entering these transactions outside of the work order and we want to maintain the work order link as well. We are looking to capture this data in as effecient a manner as possible.
