I am very new to the oracle EBS. Actually, I am still in training. I am not sure if I am posting in the right forum. I did a successful installation of oracle EBS. Now, I am on to patching. The question I have is. Does the oracle instance has to be up for the patching? I have a tough time to get the instance started. I login to the server as database user and entered sqlplus "/as sysdba", it returned as command not found. Then I realize that I have to souce the environment file. I am not sure
