Looking for advice/experience on OEM 12C

 We are looking to upgrade from OEM 10.2 to either latest 11.x or 12.x.
Questions:
Any user experience suggesting it's too soon to go to 12C?
How different is 12C (or 11.x) from 10.2?  If it makes sense I will request training, but not if there is little difference.
