Help Region + Next Button on Report page causes app to fail

I upgraded to 4.2 recently. Since then we have noticed that help regions occasionally cause our application to fail with a numeric or character conversion error. If I turn off the region, there are no errors on the page. Even an empty, new help region will fail when the next button is clicked on a report.  Has anyone else had this happen and if so, what did they do to get around it?
