Oracle 11.2.0.3 on Windows 2008R2

Hello,

I hope, there is somebody, who can help me.

I installed Oracle 11.2.0.3 SE1 on a Windows Server with 48GB and 1 socket used with a quad core processor.

I created a database with memory Target of 20GB.

In the windows task manager, I can see, that the oracle process gets only 2GB of memory.

After that we put a second quad core processor into the machine and now Oracle get the 20GB of memory.

I there any explanation for this behaviour?
