FSG publish to Excel

I have an FSG with 24 columns and when I publish it, regardless of the FSGXML template I use,  the headings for only the first 20 columns showup.  I assume this is because it is pulling the the heading descriptions from the 'Column Set Builder' form,  which only allows up to 20 columns.  And I read document ID 1204015.1 that "the FSG: Basic Excel template supports only up to 30 columns by design".  Yes, it pulls in 30 columns but only pulls in the headings for 20 of those columns,.   How can the template be modified to bring in the column headings for the maximum allowable number of columns.
