Contracts type in Contracts Workbench

Hi all,

I'm implementing PO Contracts, but on workbench we'll manage all contracts, including sales.

When I create a contract type, I need to inform the intent of it (Buy, Sell or Other).

When I create the contract and inform the contract type, based on the intent, it will open a different LOV on the parties tab:

Buy - Supplier or Partner

Sell - Customer or Partner

Other - Partner

If the setup of customer and partner is the same, what would be the impact if I create all the contract type with the intent as Buy? That way, I could enter any contracts on this intent. When I buy, I would inform the party as Supplier and when I sell I would inform the party as Partner.
