How can I set the note type for an attachment that is added in iSupport (12.1.3)?

In 11i we set the "Oracle iSupport: Default Note Type when Service Request is Updated" profile option at both the site level and the Responsibility level so that when updates are made (including the addition of an attachment) from iSupport we can use a note type to help analyze and group the updates. In 11i, this profile option works as intended and adds the designated note type when we add an attachment.  Since we upgraded to R12, this default note is only set when you add a note and not an attachment.  Am I missing a new profile option got attachments?
