PSU Patch Standby first

i want to apply PSU JAN2012 to my dataguard (Primary + one physical standby).

I am somewhat confused about note 1265700.1

What i want to do is:

Shutdown and apply  PSU to standby

startup mount of standby (no active dataguard)

switchover to standby

shutdown new standby and apply PSU

startup mount new standby

switchover to new standby

catbundle psu apply

Is this a possible way to go?
