DBCA will not run

When running DBCA the following error is created:

/dbca[116]: /oracle/product/11.2.0/bin/platform_common:  not found

The ORACLE_HOME is /oracle/product/11.2.0.0EE.  /oracle/product/11.2.0.0EE/bin/platform_common does exist.

This is a new install of the Oracle 11.2.0.1 product.  First time running DBCA on this host.

Oracle Database version: 11.2.0.1

Host: AIX 6.1

Why is dbca looking for platform_common in /oracle/product/11.2.0/bin instead of /oracle/product/11.2.0.0EE/bin?
