unable to get subinventory data

When I go into Manufacturing Mgr in Oracle:

Click Material Workbench, then enter Organization then click Find At this point it opens up the Organization's info. Unfortunately, the subinventory column is empty.

I wanted to confirm whether this functionality is standars. Is this happening because same item is present in different subinventories.
